Right of withdrawal & refunds

Last updated: October 7, 2026

BlindLock sells worldwide. Consumers whose habitual residence is in the European Union have the statutory right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU). The following information applies to purchases by EU consumers. Outside the EU, the consumer rights of your country apply, together with the terms of Polar Software, Inc. as Merchant of Record, through which the sale is processed.

1. Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the contract is concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (BlindLock, LLC, 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, USA, email info@blindlock.app) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired. The seller is Polar Software, Inc., 3500 South DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901, USA. We forward your statement to Polar for processing.

2. Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, Polar as the seller reimburses all payments you made for this contract without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. The same means of payment you used for the initial transaction is used for this reimbursement, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

3. Early expiry of the right of withdrawal (digital content)

Important — applies to BlindLock licences

Your right of withdrawal expires early once BlindLock, at your express request, has begun performing the contract (in particular: making the download, the activation key or the licence available to you) and you confirmed beforehand that you know you lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins (Art. 16(m) Directive 2011/83/EU).

In practice: before payment, Polar’s checkout shows a required checkbox: “I want BlindLock to be delivered immediately and I understand that I lose my right of withdrawal once delivery starts.” Without this tick the purchase cannot be completed. Once you tick it and the payment succeeds, there is no right of withdrawal for the licence.

4. When there is no right of withdrawal

5. Voluntary goodwill

BlindLock does not offer a general money-back guarantee beyond the statutory right of withdrawal. If you run into a technical problem (failed activation, unsupported hardware, confirmed bug), please contact support@blindlock.app before withdrawing. We usually solve the problem, or arrange a cancellation through Polar in individual cases if we cannot.
