Lifetime, updates and future subscriptions
After a total of 1,000 Lifetime licences, desktop subscriptions will cost $4.99/month or $39.99/year. Existing Lifetime licences retain their non-expiring entitlement. Every update is required. Once a new version is released, BlindLock opens your vault only after you install it.
Will BlindLock work on your computer?
- Your computer
- Windows 10/11 or Linux with an enabled TPM 2.0 security chip. macOS 13.3+ on Apple Silicon (M1 or newer). No Intel Mac download is currently offered. On many PCs the chip is only switched off in the BIOS/UEFI, where it is called TPM, fTPM, PTT or “security processor”.
- Your licence
- One active desktop computer per licence. You can transfer the licence to a new computer.
- Internet when opening
- Activation needs internet. Unlocking normally checks authorisation online. If the server is temporarily unreachable, a valid stored permit can allow access until its displayed expiry. Your vault contents are not transmitted in that check.
- Backup for emergencies
- Keep your encrypted BlindLock backup and the twelve words separately. You need both if you lose your device.

Is this really a one-time payment?
Yes. A Lifetime licence has no expiry date, auto-renewal or recurring subscription. Entitlement is still verified online when you unlock the vault.
What happens after the Lifetime Waves sell out?
Then desktop Lifetime is gone for good. Desktop BlindLock becomes subscription-only — $4.99/month or $39.99/year, always with the latest version for as long as the subscription runs. Lifetime pricing will not return. iOS, iPadOS and Android remain free.
How many devices does one licence cover?
One paid licence = one active desktop at a time (Windows, macOS or Linux). Replace your computer whenever you like — the licence moves with you through the built-in migration flow. It does not die with the old machine. iOS, iPadOS and Android are always free, for everyone, and do not consume that desktop seat.

Do I get future updates?
Yes. All released updates and major versions are included with a paid desktop licence. Every update is required. Once a new version is released, BlindLock opens your vault only after you install it.
What's the refund policy?
EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Before payment, Polar’s checkout shows a required checkbox: you request immediate delivery and confirm that you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery starts. BlindLock is built for one person and one device. Features for teams are being considered for a future release.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and further local methods depending on your country — processed by Polar. Polar sells the licence as BlindLock's merchant. All prices are final. All prices include applicable taxes.
